March somehow became a very busy month so I'm just now getting around to posting about everything that happened, so get ready for a long post.
The beginning of March saw our biggest snow fall all season. Mike recorded 11 inches on the side of our house. This kind of snow fall is unheard of in this area. I missed most of it because I was goofing off in FL with my family, but Mike and the kids had a great time playing in the snow.

We've talked about it since moving into the house, but this year we're actually doing something about it. We're planting fruit trees. We're starting with Peach. We picked out 2 peach trees at Home Depot and planted them on the side of the house where they'll get sun all day long. Who knew you needed such a deep pit to plant a little peach tree. The only problems we came across during the planting was the cable wire that Mike accidentally chopped right through. Thank goodness it wasn't the electrically wire (which we found out later we were very close to!) So now we have 2 trees in the yard, and they are already growing and sprouting bright green leaves. By this time next year we should have some peaches forming!!
While Mike was digging holes for the peach trees I planted a small garden. Mike worked real hard to make me this small raised bed right next to the house to start a garden. I've never done real vegetable gardening before so this is a bit of an experiment this year. I planted a little bit of everything just to see what grows and what we like. I already have radishes, cauliflower, carrots, green onions and spinach poking through.

My sweet Becca looked so cute and grown up one Sunday I couldn't resist snapping a picture with her.

Some of my recent cake creations. Christopher's school has a family fun day once a year and as part of that they hold a cake walk. I donated 3 of these cakes to the cake walk (one was for our Relief Society Birthday Party). I had fun experimenting with some new techniques.

Not the best picture but you can tell the belly is growing. This is 5 months along.

My girls were just being cute. This was my first experiment with 2 full pig tails in Rachael's hair. I think it turned out pretty well. This was Becca's new shirt, a hand me down from a neighbor, and she loves it.

If mom gets to stand in front of the wall and take a picture, then we want to stand in front of the wall and have someone take our picture!
We're still trying to figure this one out. When we went to check on the kids before we went to bed, this is what we found in Chris's room. Apparently he was having story time with the stuffed animals and they couldn't decide what to read, so they pulled out every book, and then fell asleep. That's the best idea we've come up with.

Mike's work had a family day at the ice rink so we all went and had a great time (I did not get on the ice, I have enough balance issues right now as it is) Becca loves ice skating and can't wait to take another class hopefully this summer. It took some persuading, but we were able to get Chris out on the ice too. Once he got out there, he really had a great time.
