April 2010

Be warned.  April was full month.  We got to travel to Seattle for Jonny's wedding and spent the whole week visiting with family.  That in and of itself is cause to take a million pictures.  Don't worry, I won't put ALL the pictures up on the blog, but I will still probably put too many.  And then near the end of the month we drove to Raleigh to visit with Brandon and his family while he was home on leave.  And then of course there is all the usual random happenings that require picture taking and sharing, so be ready.

Part I
Trip to Seattle

This was our first chance to meet our newest nephew, Colton.  Melissa is only about 3 weeks older then Colton so we thought they would get along great.  They really didn't know what to do with each other, and basically spent the whole time trying to figure out how to steal the other's binky.
One afternoon we all went out for burgers at a local place in downtown Seattle.  The burgers were great, but it was so cold outside, we ended up eating them in the car.
We got to go and visit Grammy Kastner while we were in town.  Last time we saw her, Rachael was only 4 months old, so we were overdue for a visit.
Out to dinner after family pictures

Apparently my picky eater enjoys cantaloupe.

We tried to get the babies to have a crawling race.  Colton loved the idea, Melissa, not so much.
We spent an afternoon at the Seattle Zoo, the kids loved it.
The main reason for the trip, Jonny and Leslie's wedding.  It was beautiful.  The ceremony was great, and we had a blast at the reception.
Seth really added a lot of character to this picture, thanks.
A few more days of goofing off around the Bingham's house before we headed back home.
Kristee bought the babies these great shirts.  You can't really see it in the picture, but it says "My goal is to be as charming and sophisticated as my Auntie."  They were just perfect, even if the babies weren't thrilled with yet another photo shoot.  They are going to have to get used to it to be part of this family.
A quick round of hide and seek.

Part II
Mike's Birthday
This month we celebrated Mike's 33rd birthday.  I experimented and made an ice cream cake for the occasion.  I think it turned out pretty well.  Melissa liked it.

Part III
Melissa turns 9 months old
How is that girl growing so fast.  She's crawling, standing, loving the walker, it's only a matter of time before she's running around the house with the rest of them.  Here are some pictures of her activities this month.
I guess my shower was a little too long this day.

Part IV
Trip to NC
We took a trip down to Raleigh to visit my brother, Brandon while he was home on leave.  It was a quick weekend trip but it was great to visit with him and his family.

 Part V
And then there's Rachael.
I don't know how she does it, but Rachael can make a mess out of anything.  The smallest simplest food becomes a new reason to take a bath.

One chocolate candy before bed turned into this mess.
Pudding for lunch was the culprit on this day.   Gotta lover her.  At least I know she enjoys her food.
