August Update Part 3

Our first few weeks in Paris have been very exciting and long.  We took some time to tour around and see some sites.  As well as try and get settled in our little apartment.  The company rented some furniture for us to use while we wait for ours to show up in a few weeks.  So we have been quite comfortable.  The weather has been gorgeous, nice and sunny afternoons with a beautiful breeze through the apartment.

After a long day of walking, Rachael fell asleep while we waited for our dinner.

There is a beautiful park near our apartment, Parc Monceau.  The kid's school is just outside of the park and this is where they will have recess everyday.  We have taken several walks to the park to play in the afternoons, it's perfect.

Our first weeks in Paris wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Eiffel Tower.  We picked a sunny afternoon and enjoyed the walk.

It became such a hot afternoon we stopped for ice cream.  Of course the ice cream melted so fast, it became quite a mess.  But we enjoyed it anyway, as evidenced by how much ice cream the kids ended up wearing.

Enjoying a quiet afternoon around the apartment.  The girls wanted to clean the floor, I wasn't about to discourage that kind of behavior.  Chris, as always, spent most of his time reading.

Another afternoon at the park.  The girls decided they needed to have a photo session with the tree.

Rachael did not want to leave the park.

Our bathtub is a little awkward to bath Melissa in, but the kitchen sink works out great.  And she just loves it.

The entertainment shelf is part of our rented furniture.  Most days it turns into Melissa's secret hide-out.

Fun pictures! Thanks for sharing! The kids enjoyed looking at them and keep asking if we can visit. RJ is jealous that you guys got to see the Eiffel Tower. :) Love the photos of the ice cream. Those cones brought back memories. Hope you are enjoying Paris.
